The meeting minutes from the March 6, 2012 FA General meeting were approved.

Treasurer’s report: Nancy Strong stated that most of the class reps still have funds to be used for end-of-the year class parties.  Everything else is tracking fine.  A year end report will be shared in May.

Booster Club: Laurie Kasserman reported that she is having difficulty staffing the Hawk’s Nest for home athletic events and is in need of volunteers to help work a 1.5 hr. shift during the games.  Specifically she needs help for the 4:00 p.m. shifts.  She has ordered pom poms and they will be available for this week’s game to help encourage more spirit.

Development: Suzan Costich is helping to organize a type of achievement/competition among the grades to raise the most funds for the Annual Fund.  They are making a last minute push to achieve the annual goal.  It is everyone’s responsibility to help meet the financial goals of the school.  There is a class thermometer out front of the school indicating the progress of the participation from each class.  The class with the most participation will get a mexican fiesta party!

Athletics: Gabrielle Gonzales reminded everyone that there is $100 available for each Athletic team to organize an end-of-season party.  Also, she hopes to have the dates for our this Fall’s Homecoming by the next FA meeting.

Fine Arts: Cathy Chavez reported that the Spring concert/ Art show will be April 20, and will be in conjunction with the FA’s BBQ, which will be free for all St. Gregory families.  The middle school will have their last theater performance of the year in May.

Grad Night: Stan Kissinger reported that they have met with all the parents of Seniors and are sworn to secrecy as to the venue for Grad Night.  There will be a meeting this coming Friday for any volunteers who would like to help with the set-up & clean-up for the event.  A school-wide email sign-up will be going out to all St. Gregory families soon.

New Business: Kathy Ross reported that on April 20 there will be a “Hawks Family Fest” which will consist of a free BBQ dinner, to be held in the back of the school by the Science building quad.  There will be drama performances, music, games and even an open microphone for impromptu performers.  There will be a performance by the choir & band @ 7:30 p.m.  Also, basketball coach Daryl Patton will be honored @ 6:00 p.m. for being the recipient of a national coach’s award.

The FA Annual Meeting will be May 8, 2012.

Meeting adjourned @ 12:35 p.m.
