Headmasterʼs report: Jonathan Martin discussed some of the issues with the 1 to 1 laptop program. Overall it has been very successful, however there are concerns about students using their computers inappropriately during class, such as being on Facebook or gaming websites. For the next 4 weeks there will be a block put on Facebook & various gaming websites so as to prevent students from accessing those websites. It will be decided in a few weeks if those websites will be re-instated. The College Readiness Assessment Program ( CRA) was described but more time was needed to present details. Mr. Martin may consider a CRA presentation at a future FA meeting.
Upper School Head: Susan Heintz introduced the new ( part-time) school counselor, Mrs. Chapman, who will be working Tuesday mornings from 8 – 12 pm.

Treasurerʼs report: ( Nancy Strong) stated there was not much to report at this time, however the FA does have a bank balance of $30,077.

Athletics: Mark Swenson ( Athletics Director) discussed Kathy Sternʼs idea for the school to start using the snack bar during any home athletic event. By doing so, funds could be generated for the athletics program and attendance may improve at various
events. There was a suggestion from Andrea Watters to organize a Booster Club for the Athletic Dept, which Kathy Stern had already proposed. An email will be sent out to parents to query who is interested in helping to support the Booster Club. The FA
provides $100 to each St. Gregory athletic team to have an end of season celebration.
(Elaine Sosnowski) Homecoming had their first meeting last week and next meeting will be the end of September. Homecoming is October 8th.
